Father, you know me,
since I became me.
You share,
my every memory.
Because you,
were there too.
You were there when I cried,
and cried with me.
You were there when I laughed,
and laughed with me.
Father, your love,
overwhelms me.
Because you are,
the only one
who knows me better,
than I know myself.
When I feel like nobody understands me,
like nobody can.
When nostalgia floods over my soul,
and I want to be a child again.
It is then that I realise
that there is someone,
who understands.
Someone,
who was there with me,
all along.
Someone who cares.
Someone who knows.
Father, I thank you for your love,
I thank you that you are always with me.
I thank you that I share my life with you.
I thank you, that my memories are not my own.
I thank you, that I can,
cry with you,
sing with you,
dance with you,
laugh with you,
reminisce with you,
and live with you!
